Went there for the Bluegrass Festival and had a great time. Nice level campsites, lots of RV parking and clean amenities. Nice views of the river with deer grazing on the far bank in the morning. Also, lots of covered facilities which was nice because it did rain from time to time.

What a great campground! Joe & Georgia were amazing hosts and so accommodating. Clean facilities, large campsites right by the river, close to town for last minute items. Highly recommend this as a place to stay !!!

Not a provincial park and not a private campground. Private would have rv's stacked side by side and a provincial would be private but no services. Lots of space in each site and power/water here. Being close to the river is very nice. Price is very reasonable. Could only be made better with sewer service or a sewer tote. (First world problems).

Stayed here over the summer for a few days when I was traveling/backpacking the Juan De Fuca trail and Victoria, nice enough staff.....but paid showers, the sooke river looked more like a muddy stream lol, but was a big heatwave. was able to leave my gear at the campsite while I explored victoria without worry, just a short walk to the galloping goose trail, and I got to see some deer come right out at me

The campsites are level and the sites closer to the office have more trees which provide nice shade and a bit of privacy. Access to wifi is only available if you're close to the office. This campsite was kept fairly clean, however the women's bathroom didn't seem like it was cleaned daily. The showers are fine; a loonie for 5 minutes. However, there is only cold water in the sinks. There didn't seem like there was any place to recycle goods other than cardboard and pop and beer cans - plastics will have to be thrown out or saved for home. It's central to the community and very close to the Info Center.
